I am about to book a trip to Vegas and was wondering if there is a website that has good deal on the 5 star hotels in Vegas? I would like to live at or very close to the strip.

I have had a lot of great input from Matt and I welcome any more "good to know" advice regarding pretty much everything from food, shopping to shows etc...

You might want to use Priceline... bid a cheap price on 5 stars on the strip. :)

Man I really dont like how these hotels have a resort fee, that should be included in the price that is shown! This is the first time ever I hear of such a fee.

Let us know Ben because I have to make a business trip in the area over the next few weeks, likely early February.

Maybe you can make sure you are in Vegas same time we are.
We are not much for clubbing but love great food, good drinks and some shopping. Also would like to see some of the sights near Vegas.

Ditto. The wife and I don't do clubs either. We go there to eat (some of the best food on the planet), drink, and shop. Then when she goes to bed I give all my money to the casino. Keep me posted as it gets closer

I stayed at Cesears while I was there and found it to be incredibly nice. Fuente has a cigar lounge in it (it's pricey) and Margaritaville is right across the street.

Why Vegas then if you don't like night life or gambling? That's the reason most people go there.
He wants to get married at the Little Wedding Chapel Craig ;)

Ben:

My wife and I eloped there years ago. We looked at a bunch of different places and settled on Treasure Island, not the pirate ship (though that would have been badass), but in their chapel inside, I thought it was the most tasteful of the 5 or 6 we looked at.

Good luck! I used priceline and got an AMAZING room at the Venetian for a little over 100/night. I don't think you'll get a crappy room there or at Bellagio and I used Priceline and kept it at 5 stars.

Regards,
Randy

Encore, Wynn, Bellagio, Palazzo, Venetian, Aria or Cosmopolitan are the 5 star resorts. I personally like Wynn and Encore the best as far as the rooms are concerned, they have the best beds in the city, very comfortable. Rest of the casinos are just your average Vegas room. There really isn't much too see outside of the strip area, Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire, thats about it. Red Rock is a bunch of red rocks, valley of fire is similar and Hoover Dam is a big ass dam. Best way to see it all is take a helicopter tour and you will see all those and the Grand Canyon in a couple hours.
