I have been shopping around for awhile now trying to get myself a new ring. My old one is scratched and dinged up and I have had it for years. I just figure it is time to move on and move up in life. Does anyone know where to find some good I guess I will call them "lifestyle" rings. This is not a wedding ring, but one to just wear around. I really like what Room 101 puts out, but not only can you not really find them around or see them, they are up there in price. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have some Room 101 stuff and it IS pricy, even when purchased at pawn.....but you might also try Tony Creed. Google him. He has some nice stuff too.

MAJOR +1 for titanium era... I'm a fan of this page:

http://www.titaniumera.com/titanium-rings/list?cid=784&jcar=784-0

and the sales are pretty legit. my ring is from there and I paid the non-sale price... that was 10 years or so ago, too.

PLUS: titanium rings are very light! just don't wear in any "sticky" situations... I've been told that if it came down to it, the finger gets cut off before the ring does...

I too am interested in picking up a new ring. I really like the one in the picture below but I have no clue my current ring size as I haven't warn a ring in a couple years. What style rings do you guys have and how do you like them?

I have a tungsten carbide wedding band. Working in a machine shop (really not a good place to wear rings but oh well) I bang the hell out of my ring. Carbide is much much harder then steel so it doesn't scratch at all. It will shatter if you hit it hard enough and can crack if ya drop it or hit it really hard.

Titanium is not a hard metal. It will scratch and bend. Titanium can be cut off if need be like a gold band can. Carbide cannot without diamond cutters.

I bought my ring from titaniunkay.com they have all kinds of styles and really don't look like wedding bands. I much prefer the carbide over titanium. The polished inside is very comfortable.

Wouldn't you like to know?
Tungsten carbide here as well. Can't say enough about it. I like that it is heavy feels like a real precious metal vs the lightness of titanium. I abuse the hell out of it and only a few small scratches.

Thanks for all the input guys. I am pretty sure that I am going to contact Tony Creed and see about getting a custom piece done. I saw his work, and I really like his style. Plus it will be custom for me, so I know it will be unique. I am thinking about seeing if I can use part of the casing from the first bullet I ever fired in the ring. I think it would be cool.

I purchased a "Titan" titanium ring at local jewelry store engraved for less than $80 they are strong however the salesman said they can never be resized because titanium can not be soldered back together. I beat mine up really badly at work and it hasn't worn to much. Hope this helps

I've got a ceramic wedding ring. like a gun metal gray color. doesnt' scratch and if you ever need to get it of in an emergency, take a pair of pliers and squeeze. plus it has a lifetime warranty, so if i have to squeeze it off, they replace it. $120. and it makes me look like a badass.
