I'll be in town for Business for the 10th and 11th of July. I'm a Marriott guy and wanted to know a good area to get a hotel. A suggestion on a nice bar and a good steak dinner would be nice.

SuprisMVP... who else is out there?

Hey Ty, Where exactly do you have to be for business? Once I know that I can get you pointed in a direction. Tuesday and Wednesday are tough for me to get out, but could probably swing something

Marriott at Desert Ridge is a great property with a great steakhouse on site. They are in the North Valley though, so depending on where your business is, it may not be the most convenient. Plenty of stuff near there to as far as bars to grab a drink goes too.

^yeah, JW Marriott is a nice place. Get on the golf course too, if you like bunkers.

Like the guys alluded to, to get across the extreme ends of the metro area takes about 1:30, if you can use freeway the whole way and not in rush hour. Happy to show you around (assuming I'm in town and available), Brandon's shop is one of my top 2 in the valley.

I am by no means an expert since I only get to Phoenix 2-3 times per year but from my experience there are 2 good cigar spots that I have hit.

If you are up north (Scottsdale) then I would recommend Cigar King http://www.cigarking.com/cigar-king-scottsdale/. The selection there is amazing.

If you are central or southeast I would recomend the House of Cigars. http://www.azhouseofcigars.com/Home_Page.html It is a newer place and you can smoke inside which is a BIG plus in Phoenix in the middle of July.

I have an appointment at 10:30 in the morning at Palo Verde... I fully expect to be back around 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon with nothing to do. I have all Tuesday afternoon open as well. Fly out Thursday am.

I know tough life.

To be honest I was thinking of one of the two JW's.. 1:30 half to get around??? Even in the mid afternoon?

How long from JW Marriott out to Palo Verde??

LOL, been in AZ for a week now. Brought a stash with me. Been to Scottsdale, Sedona, Grand Canyon, and Monument Valley. Pics to be posted on another thread.

Taz if you're out near Avondale tonight stop by Fine Ash Cigars. They are celebrating their 1 year anniversary. All Aston Cigars will have deals. There will be food, drinks and music.
