I was afraid this would happen. Not a BOTL, but I'll just join to get access to the cigar. Maybe there should have been a few more restrictions on accessibility to the cigar.
That's my opinion and I stand by it.

Same here. Not saying that most of these new members won't stay, but maybe there should be a requirement for a join date from before these were announced. Just my two cents.

just going to say: found BOTL by looking up smokes that PDR did, including the prior BOTL cigar. just because a new face pops up, doesn't mean they are not going to stay around. true, JD has a wider rep than abe, but let's not lose our manners before the doors have even opened up.

FWIW, i agree that priority for pre-existing members would have been preferable, but podman and JD seem to have things well in hand.

I'm sure because these were pretty openly discussed early, there will be plenty of sticks to go around. Last BOTL sticks were avail from Casa for a good while after release. That being said, looking forward to these! G1

Sorry guys. Had absolutely no intention of just making it seem like I'm here for the cigar. One of the reps from Podmancigars.com told me about this site and suggested I check it out to get all the info. It seems like a decent amount of you guys are offended by this. I apologize. I'm actually a fairly decent contributor to the cigar.com forums (not that that should give me any credibility). Moderator, please feel free to delete my posts. The last thing I want to do is alter the true meaning of BOTL.

Now that I understand the context a bit more (two years in the making and highly anticipating it), I would be antsy peeing my pants too haha. At any rate, thanks for a great welcome. @jliu, Hosh speaks wisely, I remember sending out the last of my 2010 BOTL sticks just a few months ago to a newer member that didn't have a chance to get them. Once the buying frenzy ends the sharing begins, this crew is one of the most generous bunch of people one could ever hope to meet. BTW, welcome to BOTL.

I guess my previous post made me look like a bigot. I am totally happy these cigars are drawing more and more people here, I guess I just got a bit defensive and flustered at the thought of profiles with less than 2 or 3 posts getting these instead of me. But like others have states, this forum is about more than personal gain, I'm sure I will be able to smoke at least one or two of these even if I cannot get my hands on a box.
