Wish mine arrived in time for today! How is it?End of the world gents!
It was great! Right off the light you know it's a Tat. Spicy, and a creamy earthiness. You will enjoy! I hope I can let the rest of mine sit to see how they turn out!Wish mine arrived in time for today! How is it?End of the world gents!
I've had three batches of Johnny-Os, of varying quality while young. A couple were just okay young, so I wasn't that upset when they went sick. But my first batch, corona gordas, were incredible and I smoked 6-7 while they were young plus gave some away. I can't tell you how disappointed I was when they went sick. Really impatient for when they hit a year and I can try them again.Johnny-O Short out in 30 degree weather. I'm not working today so I feel no pain. Starts off with plenty of earth and a hint of spice. Halfway though and it has some kick to it. I'm digging it. Don't really want the sickness period that everyones talks about to come around...
Padron 85th Natural, ick
Send me your "icky" 85th's and I will properly dispose of them. The 85th maddy is ick too. The Family Reserve Torpedos and maybe the 45ths (both hit or miss) are the way to go. I'm losing faith in Padron though. You spend $20+ for a premier stick, but maybe 50% of your sticks live up to expectations. The ones that do are truly epic...but you still have to smoke some duds to figure it out.
The Padron 80yrs Maddy I'm smoking right now is a prime example. Got the box last year 20% off on XMas sale, which is the only reason I jumped. Out of the 7 I've smoked, 2 have been epic, the rest so-so to just plain bad.
Family Reserve has shown better luck for me. I'd say 75% of the torpedos have been tits, the rest were yard gars.
Heard those smoke more expensively then they actually cost :eyepoke:View attachment 27556
