NUB cigars

Does anyone on here truly like NUB cigars? Just curious as I almost never see them mentioned.

I've had a couple that weren't bad. I'd smoke em if there was nothing else around or if someone gave me one but as far as seeking them out or buying them specifically, there are much better cigars for the same (or less) money imo.

One of my first "real" cigars. Don't venture to them much anymore, but still enjoy the Cameroon and the nub dub.

Nope. Not this guy. I believe the concept behind these is that the final third of a cigar is supposed to be the best, therefore lets just try to capture this with a fat short cigar. Well, to me, 60+ RG cigars are way too big and I often like the first and second thirds of a cigar better than the last. Very rare actually that I like the final third the best. Maybe only 10% of the time.

You and I seem to have very similar taste. I rarely enjoy a cigars finish. Nubs are not my thing at all.

The ones that do finish better is either a testament to a really good cigar or I smoked it at the proper rate. I do nub almost every cigar until I burn my sausage finger, but I really enjoy a cigar most of the time between the 1" mark up until a little past halfway.

Great smoke. Haven't had one in a bit now but def like them. Been sticking to the smaller gauge now that it's getting cold out not so much fun to try to enjoy a smoke as your freezing your ass off

I enjoy the Maduo and Habano. The Maduro was the first cigar that really made me sit up and take notice of the flavors. I'll never forget that. In the last few years I've shifted away from larger ring gauges. I still have a few in the humidor, my have to revisit...

I've enjoyed the few that people have bombed to me but have never really seeked them out. Most of my B&Ms seem to be very proud of them and I've never seen a deal online that made me feel I had to pick them up. Other than that, I tend to smoke smaller ring gauge cigars a lot more now.

The tobacco is good, flavors are decent, they're just uncomfortable to smoke. I'd much prefer them in a 4x50 format. I'd probably keep a number in stock if that were the case. As it is, I won't smoke em.

I've found a few that were tapered heads before. Muuuuuch more comfortable.

If I remember correctly, it was the middle third that was the inspiration for Sam to create the Nub. Still thought, I'd rather have it had been a corona size smoke than an oversized stub. I do like them but don't smoke them much because I prefer a smaller RG.

Same thing for me. Though I used to use the Conn as a breakfast smoke and could see going back to that on a warm summer day with an iced coffee.
