Dang, I'm in NY (Long Island) and a b&m in a neighborhood that is not "affluent" but definitely not blue collar either with a nice lounge sells the LP 9's for 18 to 24, Tats 10 to 16, etc... a b&m that I go to with no where to smoke just a very nice and well stocked walk in sells the lp 9 for 16 to 18 which is actually pretty good for NY.

Sounds like you were in MN!

$18 here for a #9 robusto.
To be fair, it seems like the prices on Ligas are going up in general, even with places I find to be generally reputable. I'm not sure if that's due to demand, Drew Estate or otherwise, but what I used to find for 12-13 is now 15-16.

I was just using that as a well-know product price. Every cigar is like that here.

What's funny though. A acid blondie is 8 bucks. And they are always sold out

The guy who runs the place didn't even know what a FFP was when I asked. And hadn't heard of our father....

So that might explain my luck.

God I wish everything here in Canada is priced through the roof. I haven't stepped foot into a B&M in awhile just cause I don't have money to throw and I don't like anal

If you say it too loudly, you're going to get a few people willing to cut you in to clean them out. Rats on demand would be amazing. I've got a box sitting, but I always would be open to more!

Keep in mind, with UF-13s, Dirty Rats, and Casa Cubas stores often only get one box, and they often have to put through an order of a lot of Ligas or Fuentes just to get access to those HTFs. It ends up costing them a good amount of money to get that one box. So, I understand why they overcharge for the HTFs. Also, if they only get one box then they're not making a lot of profit off one box of 20 cigars. They're trying to pay their bills just like anyone else.

Be happy your not out here in Utah. They have taxed cigars to the point that there are only 2 real B&Ms left. Everything else shut down a few years ago.

I was under the impression that Liga products had some kind of regulations put forth by DE that they couldn't be sold under a certain price point. I thought I remembered seeing that quote from Saka himself on another board. Of course I could be insane or full of shit. But I was under the impression that this is one of the main reasons that you don't see them on Joes Jam anymore or discounted more than 10%. Does anyone else know anything about this so this just doesn't come off as the lunatic ravings of a crazy mind.

My guess is it is probably older well aged Liga if it's at that price. You should snag them if you can. I know I would if I knew where to find them. Yeah, I am almost certain you can't discount Liga under a certain price under the contract.
