So grabbed a 10 box of cuban monte 2s appx 3weeks ago 1/2 way through it and 4 out of 5 have had this same issue , always going out , not burning right, bitter etc , 1 actually exploding out so cut it started again and still no good

I've had fluctuating humidity / temp lately even with 69% boveda packs inside my 50ct humi I've added a digi hygrometer to back up the analogue but both always read the same .

Was thinking heartfelt beads to help control humidity , but after 3 emails to them through there site with no response beginning to not like there customer service .

Anyone have any ideas ??

My advice would be; fill the humi with more sticks, toss the foam humidifier, get large boveda packs of 65/62 , move your humi to a more stable area of the house and allow these things to rest.

As everyone said above, your RH is fuxored. CCs are generally bitter and wet at that high of an RH. If you doubt it, dry box your next one for at least a day before you smoke it. I'd wager the bitterness subsides and the burn is more on point.

Get a new humi.......
Go to the Tupperware drawer in your house. Pull out a new Tupperware that will house your 15 cigars. And get a 1oz tube of boveda 65%RH beads.

Also as of today don't place any humidifier in the Tupperware. If you order the 65rh tube today. Next week the beads and your cigars will all be around 65%.

Agree with above... but also, are you sure they are legit Monte 2's? Don't answer here, but where did you get them? If you are confident then it's definitely the issues above. If you are unsure, other possibility is a bad fake. But that burning issue seems like to high of Rh as others have said. If you have any question about your vendor feel free to PM me.

I just got back from a CC friendly island and I purchased and smoked a few Monte no. 2's from LCDH. The box code was Sept 2013 and they smoked great. No burn issues at all. Just my recent experience.

Thx for all the replies fellas .
I'll try answer all here.
Yes humi seasoned and hygros calibrated .
Yes I can fill it with more sticks haha!! I've got a NC 15 sampler on its way and a newb trade on here in the pipelines so more on there way ( happy days ) . Yeh I'd say they were wet too so will try the dry box idea , I'll also move humi to a cooler location. They're def legit . Is there a cigar friendly silicon/mastic I can use to seal the analogue hygro in ?? I'm a carpenter so will a food grade kitchen silicon do it ? They do smell will its fumes contaminate cigars ?

Thx heaps BOTL ;)
