They are delicious. The flavor comes mainly from the wrapper in a cigar and its almost all wrapper in a lance, very little binder/filler.

I do most of my buying/smoking from B&Ms, but since lots of cigar smokers prefer big ring gauges, lots of B&Ms don't carry much in the way of the lancero (I like that -- "The Way of the Lancero!"). Necessitates getting these precious skinnies online.

My B&M does stock a few good ones: MF, Tat black petit lance, Holy Lance, Oliva V, Room 101 Mutante. But I have yet to try a lot of the ones guys talk about here (Headley Grange, Lost City, etc.) since I can't find them at my local.

What are those in the photo you posted, Mike?

Lancero's are one of my favorite cigars, as a matter of fact I picked up a couple of Flor de Las Antillas Lancero's yesterday and hope to try one today.

The Cain f and the Oliva are both great Lanceros. The Tat Black is my personal favorite. Can't get enough of them.

the few lances I've smoked I've enjoyed and where I smoke when I do go out is dominated by 50s and 60s. Half of what like about the lance is being the only one smokin one. You could almost say being man enough to smoke one. I guess it's a preference but I know most guys won't even try one ..I guess they're compensating.

They do look funny. But they're hard to beat. The My Father #4, the Oliva V lance, the L40 (of the unico blends), the DPG Blue, the El Triunfador, the Headley Grange... the lancero is the best of all of those lines, and there are plenty more slipping my mind.
