Got these beauties in on Friday, both from Cody (crperkins) of CP Pipes
My first quality, hand-made, artisan pipes!
The left is one from the run of pipes done for botl.org, the first ever official BOTL Pipe, designed by the members, for the members!
The right is a blowfish that Cody had already made that really grabbed me, so I asked him to hold on to it and ship it along with the BOTL pipes.
I'm so excited to have finally jumped in the the world of artisan pipes, and so glad Cody joined BOTL. Here's to many more years!
Thank you, Cody!

Those are both really pretty, does he have a site he showcases pipes already made for sale or are all custom only
He had an etsy site up when we first started movement on the BOTL pipe, but since has just been placing them with a local B&M I believe. We should ask @crperkins to post pics of current available pipes! (or maybe that's treading on sponsor ground :dunno: )

Glad to see they arrived safe Clint. As far as a site no I don't have one. Haven't needed one to keep me busy but I should get one done. I don't currently have anything available but I do take commissions if anyone is interested.

I saved up the purchases from the last few days to show in a single post.

Not counting the awesome bomb from Sean earlier today, here's what I've received in the past week: 1 tin of Molto Dolce, 2 tins of CAO Black, Carnuba polishing wax, pipe stem cleaner/deoxidizer, rough pipe cleaners, extra fluffy pipe cleaners, regular pipe cleaners, Senior pipe reamer, set of 5 stem brushes, and two estate pipes.

Report back on the pipe maintenance equipment. I need to pick some up myself and would love the first-hand feedback!

Absolutely! A couple of those estate pipes have very heavy cake (one of which I think is about 70% blocked) so the reamer will get a lot of use. From all of the reviews I've read, the Senior Reamer is supposed to be the best tool out there. Plus, it has a removable shank bit for removing heavy cake inside the stem.

@rdomfoto, I think that reamer is already on my must buy list! But, I'm really curious about which cleaners/polishes/waxes to buy...
I bought the stem cleaning kit from Walker Briars. I'd heard really good things about their stuff anyway and, although the kit ($20) is designed and sold as a stem cleaner and polisher, they also say that the carnuba wax is great on the bowl, too.

One of the Ebay estate pipes has a stem that's almost entirely brown/beige from oxidation so I am hoping the deoxidizer is as good as they say.

As for the reamer, I got mine in nearly perfect condition from Ebay for $6 compared to the $25-30 that I've seen it new.

If this cleaning kit I've put together works, I'll post it all again with a price list and where I got it from .

I purchased the pipe, but a few surprises came in for break in assistance from a brother that will get dealt with in short order... that Pelican is dated 2000, Bohemian Scandal is my weakness, and this Boswell Oom Paul can double as a bedside self defense club.
