I had already agreed to send KK a starter package, and even keep his new interest under wraps. as doug has opted to make this public, i can only assume he is welcoming input from others as well...

and imma be packing three pipe bombs today; my 2 n00bs and the lucky bastard lotto winner should have trackers mañana.

3rd try was a charm. I dove in blind, didn't stay lit. I tried the three layer pack, too tight. Found a video of "the Frank method" and packed a perfect bowl.

I believe I packed PS Golden Dansk .

I love the aroma. Flavor is so wildly different than anything in cigar land. And a good pipe tobacco so much different than the peach and vanilla aromatics I used to puff on years ago when I had a DG pipe I puffed at work. Also, getting the pack right made a huge difference.

Ive got a lot of reading to do before I start posting repeat noob questions.

URB, Thanks again

Yeah, I tried the "baby, lady, man" pack and didn't end up with a good bowl.

Tried the "man, man, ex-wife" pack and it was much better.

Apparently were noobless at the moment
Well, since we're in a bit of a lull right now awaiting more n00bs, let me take a quick moment to thank Dave (Grrrr) as well as UtahRootBeer, JavaJunkie, Andy, Hoshy, Deadman, and TheDismalTrade for being sponsors of this. As you can tell, I've been hit hard by the pipe bug and it would never have happened without this thread. Actually, it wouldn't have happened without the brothers here being so generous with time and resources.

So guys, thanks - it's been appreciated! (and, damn you, Dave!)
