A year and six days ago, my wife and i move our family out of the house we bought 8 years prior. The neighborhood had been taken over by a number of gangs and there were nightly shootings, meth lab explosions, etc. So for our kids safety we packed up, abandoned our home and moved. Today, after 100s of hours with lawyers, bankers, and realtors, we closed on the short sale of our old house. Lots of great memories there, but the weight that has been lifted off our shoulders is huge. Time to celebrate! !
