Smoke what you like! The RP 15th anniversary is among my favorite sticks. Most of the lack of enthusiasm for the RP brand is because RP himself is a douche.

I lost respect for the brand after it surfaced that they literally dyed their wrappers to make them "maduro".
The issue with gurkha is the "msrp" of many of their sticks is high as hell, and they never sell for that amount. 95% of them are also mediocre at best. The issue with rocky patel was explained by Clint in the post above. The issue with drew estate isn't necessarily their smokes, though for some it is, but it's their marketing of limited editions.

More like cheap, but want to charge as if high end. The msrp of a stick could be 15 bucks, but check online and you could probably get it for 3 bucks or less.Thanks.
Are ghurka really bad?
Like, cheap sub-par cigar bad, or more like wanabe high end cigar that failed bad?
We have sub-par cigars here. A lot. Most of the less than 7$ sticks are dog rockets around here: buy at your own risk. I once smoke one that had its draw loose as a straw. Might have been good otherwise.
So far most of the unobtainable-up-north sticks that I managed to get were plaisant. I want to keep it that way
