S.O. Christmas Present Thread

I know a number of people look for ideas for their Significant Other every year. I figured I'd create a brainstorming thread for people to share their thoughts.

This year, I've gotten my lady:
-A fur scarf to match her latest acquisitions in that department.
-A piece to add to her collection of ornaments.

Neither cost much, so I'll still be hunting for one more.

How's everybody else's hunt going?

The big one this year has been in the works for a while. I got her Sapphire halo earrings to match a pendent her Grandmother gave her years ago. Still have a couple of small things to think up, but that should have me in the good graces well into the new year

After my daughter was born 11 years ago, my wife and I agreed that we would take the funds normally spent on each other, and pour them into gifts for Chelsea.
Having said that, we still exchange gifts, but the price point is reduced quite a bit.

Haven't gotten my wife a gift yet, but angling towards perfume and maybe a gift card from a clothing store

I already got my wife a lot of camera equipment and already gave it to her, at our age and as long as we have been together, it's not a big deal. I usually let her off easy and don't let her get me anything, it's easier that way. I will probably slip in a little jewelry for the surprise factor... Ya can never go wrong with shiney stuff

I shop with her and pay for the gift ( or two ) and keep it wrapped till Xmas. But the perfume and the watch will be a surprise, so far.
so I have " strike out" insurance there... lol

I'm with Clint. Now that we have 2 kids we don't spend much on each other at all. And I tell my wife not to get me anything because I would rather that money go towards the kids. Having said that we still get each other something. Fill each other's stockings and maybe one gift. Haven't bought anything yet thou.

We have been on the low for a few years having kids and eliminating all our debt. I have given some small gifts over the last few years but this year I'm going nuts.

Just ordered her a macbook pro 15.4" on a sweet cyber Monday deal that saved me over $300(still overpriced imo)

That's a surprise from me and the kids so I still am in debt to get her the diamond earrings she wants and is electing lol

I'm thinkig about getting the GF an Apple tv thingy. Not quite sure how it works but I know she wants one. That'll probably be about it based on my budget but maybe a nice scarf or a movie she's been wanting as a stocking stuffer.

What can I say, I'm a giver.

Honestly, I have told her not to get me anything and spend it on her kids. She doesn't listen so we usually just get each other a few small things we want and set a $100 limit or so.

We usually are pretty tight on the holidays so maybe an hour long foot rub and a hand made card.

My girlfriend and I usually don't give gifts for Christmas. I much prefer to take a mini trip or have a nice date night. I'll remember the memories we build faaaaar longer than I'd remember what gift I got that year. I'm so glad we started that tradition early in our relationship.

Plan this year was to scale back on gifts between us as we are hopefully going to Cuba in March with some friends. This of course before she spotted an iPad mini on a black friday sale that she fancied, so now she's getting that...lol
