Hello to my fellow brothers (and sisters) of the leaf!!! My name is Chris from Long Island, New York. Lindenhurst to be exact. I'm 29 years old....kills me to say that I'll be 30 this year LOL. I've been a cigar smoker for a good 8 or 9 years maybe even a little longer. I enjoy smoking a real nice variation of cigars and just recently (more like a few years ago maybe???) pairing my smokes with a nice bourbon, scotch or whiskey. I found out about this site from a fellow BOTL who's a member here. Well, we both (finally) had a few hours to spare in our busy scheduele's tonight and met up at a local tobacconist's lounge. During our conversation he spoke highly of this forum. And well....here I am. I'm hoping to be a very active member here as this is a hobby I really enjoy. I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you here on the boards as well as learning something new!

I was a regular at Jim's Stogies in Farmingdale (formerly Stogies 'N Tales back in the day) but now I frequent Matador Cigars in Massapequa. There's a 2nd shop as well in Roslyn with the same owner. I'm usually at Matador's 2x a week for the winter, maybe 1x depending on work and the weather. But now that a friend of mine and I purchased a locker, we frequent quite often.

Levittown. Been wanting to hit up Jim's Stogies for the longest time. Hard to find a good b&m around here.
Really not far at all. I'm in Lindenhurst. Jim's used to be my spot where I'd go all the time. I was there before he took over and it was called "Stogies 'N Tales." I haven't been there since November for my birthday. For some reason, it's changed and I don't think for the good. And it's a real damn shame. I've been going there since I first started smoking cigars. I'll have to venture over there again and give it a shot one more time. Even if I just stop in for a few smokes. It was the lounge that for some reason wasn't right. Plus new bartenders, as the one really nice lady there had retired to spend more time with her family and new grandchild. She was a big reason why I frequented there as much as I did as well.
I'm usually now at Matador Cigars in Massapequa on Sunrise Highway next to IHOP. It's a new shop that opened up with a lounge and BYOB establishment. They have honor system of coffee, espresso, cappuccino, sodas and snacks as well. And a hostess to add to the scene. Plus a friend and I purchased a humidified locker there to store our smokes and a few bottles.
