Does anyone else here smoke Davidoffs, or am I the only shill for them in all of cigar cyberspace? A search for BOTL threads with Davidoff in the title turned up one result in the past 13 months. I knew one guy on another forum who smoked them; that's it. I'm a huge fan of the Nicaragua (below). It's $17 for a toro, so this is not a daily stick for me by any means; at most I smoke maybe 3 a month. Still, it's an incredibly well-balanced, fine burning medium cigar that I think everyone should try at least once. YMMV...maybe I'm just loco. :wacky:

I bought a couple of the Nicaragua diadems and liked it too. I've got a box of millennium robustos parked in the humi I haven't cracked yet.

I have smoked several. Not up my alley as far as flavor profile goes. Too grassy for me. I just got the new Churchill so I will give it a shot in a few months.

I just don't find them to have enough unique characteristics to justify the price.

They're good, and I'd probably buy on occasion for half their asking price, but so many other options available when you're looking in that same market.

Never had one. Just not something anyone in my circle smokes. I may have to remedy that. We have monthly cigar herfs.

I have a Davidoff Nicaragua waiting for me. Almost smoked it when I was down in Florida last week, but it was a little too windy and I didn't want to hinder the experience since as you said, it's not cheap.

I like Davidoff a lot. The Classic No 2 & 3, 2000, 3000, 4000, Gran Cru 3 & 4 are my go to with Davidoff and can be found between $10 and $17. They are higher priced than most premium cigars, but unless you are comparing them to $5 cigars I wouldn't say it is really that "out there" price wise unless you start getting in to their LE stuff or Churchill sized cigars. Really digging the new Winston Churchill Petite Coronas, which are just under $10

Wife and I both like them and have a few squirreled away in the drawers. No one sells them locally so we just snag a few here and there when a deal comes along. She picked me up a Culebra from their Vegas store though when she was there a few years back. If she's feeling well enough this weekend...it goes under flame.

I'm ashamed to admit that after 9 years, I'm yet to try a davidoff. However, they are on my to do list if I ever make it out to a b & m. I just have a hard time with the price. $17 for a toro is not that bad for my budget though.

the Nicaragua in diadema was great. I am not a davi fan but I enjoy them for what they are as a generally mild to med stick which I usually don't smoke thus not a big fan. the Nicaragua however is not a typical davi. I recommnd it and I definitely would not call it medium. by the finish it is a full bodied stick.

I've had a couple Davidoffs, most recently a Double R that had been resting for 9 months and was unimpressed by it. It was stronger than expected - not a bad thing normally, but in this case it was a little harsh. Not worth the $26 I paid for it (in Vegas, mind you).

That said, I'm dying to try the Nicaragua. Sounds like something I'd enjoy.
