Hi all,
My name is Ryan and it's been awhile since I've been on this board unfortunately....however, I was very honored to get the opportunity to be a part of the recent trip to Nicaragua for Operation Esteli with some real aces - Joel - Smoqman, Brad McK, and Joe - Wicket....all great folks and what a great experience that was. Want to thank you guys again for letting me be a small part of a great initiative. Truly a privilege and a pleasure! That said, I've been smoking cigars for about 15 years now. Went through some various collector phases which really made the wife happy! Now, I buy pretty much to smoke...which makes sense I suppose. Been smoking most CCs for the last few years, but hanging with Joel, Joe, and Brad made me wake up and realize what great NCs are out there in such a competitive market where there are some incredible blends and new stuff coming to market constantly. Had some Romacraft blockhead which was great, and a bunch of other stuff I hadn't given the appreciation they deserve before. My work is primarily in project/program management, but I'm working on more entrepreneurial endeavors that keep me moving. My mind is always racing so the challenge is always finding the one chief aim / project and sticking with it. Anyhow, maybe more than anyone wanted to know, but I wanted to thank you all for letting me be a member of this obviously great group of folks. I'm a positive dude so you won't get much if any negativity out of me or my posts. After 15 years, I'm always learning...and realizing just how much I do NOT know. And I love it. My goal here is to learn from you guys, listen, post if I think my post can be useful perhaps, and I look forward to meeting many of you at the various HERFs that come up. If any of you are ever in the DC metro area / N. VA, MD, etc., I hope you will feel free to contact me and I'll ensure we smoke and drink quite nicely! Cheers all, and thanks again! It's a privilege to be here! -Ryan
