I think the LGC/SR is a great cigar...in the natural version, at least. I think the maduro SR is unnecessarily bold, which IMHO detracts from the wonderful woody and earthy flavors found in the natural.

I had a #5 vitola, which is a 5.5 x 54, a fat cigar by any measure. Burns cool and slow, which really lets the flavors come through.

Very good cigar.

Love those Serie Rs! Nice sticks. Especially after a nice 1yr rest.
If you want to try something really nice, try a La Gloria Cubana Rerserva Lujo. They only make them once a year. Only a handful of the rollers are knowlegable enough to roll them. Really and incredible smoke. Had one tonight from 05. Wow.

'01 Siglo V -- decent, nothing special.
Davidoff Chateau Margaux -- a bit tight, but good.
Cohiba 35th Anniversario Lanceros -- damn good.

It's gonna be 37 here in DFW tonight. We're gonna have 15+ people at our weekly herf, all smoking in a heated 3-car garage. It's gonna get cloudy in there.

I know I will smoke a CAO Brazilia, since everyone is being gifted one at the party. Beyond that, I think I'm going to take over sorta decent, like a VSG, or a Hemmy maduro...but nothing STUPENDOUS because it's difficult to appreciate one in that kind of zoo-like environment.

(But hell I might stuff a PSP2 in my herfador anyways, just in case)

Nice Duane!

I think I might have a Partagas Charlotte while trying some Bourbon with my Dad out in the "Herf Shack".

We got some Knob Creek and some Woodford Reserve...which should we try first?
