They are great folks....Thank you. My 2nd Boswell pipe. It's "hefty" alright too. Just a little out of my price range "budget", so I let it slide a while. Figured someone else would pick it up. Then last week I said hell with it, I wanted it even though it's out of the max budget price I allow myself. The grain and red bit are amazing together. Briar is really dark but nice. The pictures really don't do justice. Honestly, looked smaller on the computer until I opened the box this morning. And Dan was nice enough to toss in an extra ounce of baccy for me although I said I'd purchase the additional ounce to try out.
I second this statement. They are great folks....
Yes they are!!! And their blends and pipes are just as awesome. They are great folks....

Maxpedition Beefy?Buddy of mine wanted to try the pipe so I told him I'd put together a lil sampler. But I dont keep much on hand, just a few regulars and stock was low so I picked up a bunch of 1oz bags of stuff I like to refill my own, and send off samples of each.
Frenchy Sunzabitches
Nightcap
EMP
Kendall Kentucky
Haunted Bookshop
Lane 1q
Carter Hill
Burley Without Bite
My Mixture 965
DFM
And 4oz of Ennerdale Flake (my favorite) to refill my jar
Grabbed a can of Plum Pudding too, never tried it but seen it mentioned a few times and wanted to try.
Got him a Country Gentleman, a Huck Finn and a pipe nail, and some pipe cleaners.
Anything else youd suggest adding for a noob starter package?
Actually crossed my mind last night when I was thinking about it. When I wrote out the list/review of contents to put in the box I did note that many of them can/will cause tongue bite for a noob.Dan, maybe little spray bottle of Biotene
A bit pricey. Already in it for a good bit of change. Iif he actually gets into it, I'll toss him one next year. Have my doubts this is anything more than a passing curiosity. If he sticks with it, Absolutely.Maxpedition Beefy?
Not expensive at all either!! Wifey needs to hurry up and get a job so I can order a few things. You can find them here. With "Roctober" coming up he will probably be posting more and more of them.

I use a 10-count herf-a-dor for my carrying case. Holds two pipes (including my large chimney pipe) plus a couple of baggies of baccy, tamper/tool, lighter, and cleaners.A bit pricey. Already in it for a good bit of change. Iif he actually gets into it, I'll toss him one next year. Have my doubts this is anything more than a passing curiosity. If he sticks with it, Absolutely.
