Nice smooth wrap on that one!!! Keep it up!Today's roll changed to a PA Oscuro wrapper with the Dom Ligero, Nic Seco, and CT Broadleaf Binder. Lucky for you guys I go back to work tomorrow and won't be rolling for a few days(won't have any new pics to post).View attachment 78369 View attachment 78370
That's the thing about molding with paper. no guess work on how much leaf to use. it all ways comes out the right shape.Today's roll changed to a PA Oscuro wrapper with the Dom Ligero, Nic Seco, and CT Broadleaf Binder. So very true Marc. Paper seems to be the best mold for me. I haven't rolled two of the same size and shape yet! That's the thing about molding with paper. no guess work on how much leaf to use. it all ways comes out the right shape.
BA!! I could definitley see myself wanting to get into the hand rolls somewhere down the line. Until then I need to learn to crawl, before I learn to walk. Awesome thread gents!Smoked this test blend last night. Rolled in the small figurado mold bombed to me by @daleo8803. 1/2 leaf corojo seco, 1/2 leaf Piloto cubano viso, 1/2 leaf criollo ligero, Dominican binder, and wrapped in San Andres. This was a very tasty smoke and the aroma of the smoke was unique. I am officially a fan of the Piloto cubano now. I very distinctly was able to taste the nutmeg and hints of vanilla. Never be too quick to judge a leaf was the lesson learned. The first blend I tried Piloto in did not do it for me. Just like smoking individual lead on its own and trying to judge. I find that each leaf can behave different in different blends. This is why I have 27 different filler blends at the moment and most of those wrapped with 3 different wrappers. You throw enough stuff out there and eventually things start to stick. I need to make a more detailed spreadsheet of my blends along with tasting notes now to keep better track.
I just punched all of my blend notes into a spreadsheet last night, looks nice and organized. Now i just need time to smoke the blends and take notes!Smoked this test blend last night.
