CA's 2016 Top 25 - Any Guesses?

We're just over a week out from Cigar Aficionado's annual Top 25 List release. aka the time of year a couple cigars go up a few bucks a piece at your local & get wiped out online within a week.

Anybody want to venture a guess as to what will top the list? How many in the Top 10 do you think you can name beforehand? Have any sure-fire, can't possibly miss smokes? What about sleepers?

I think Crowned Heads' Las Mareas should make it. Saka + broadleaf = Mi Querida will find a spot. Maestro del Tiempo from Warped should get some love. Tabernacle? Probably.

I haven't smoked enough CCs from '16 to have a good opinion on those.

What say you? (Remeber they only do regular production; no LEs or Regionals.)

Alec Bradley, Oliva, Padron will all have something in there. Probably two or three CCs. I'd be willing to bet Saka, Nick, and Kyle will make the cut, possibly with a newcomer like Cornelius.

I don't have a clue and see no viable reason to even buy a vowel. There are several folks who say that much of it is on who spends BIG BUCKS on CA advertising, but I don't know if that is true or not. I haven't even scanned an issue of CA this year. I do enjoy this discussion though!

I don't doubt that politicking plays a role. Still fun to speculate.

What!?! Gurkha isn't on the list! Don't they know that Gurkha is the Rolls Royce of cigars!

Probably one of the new Montecristo lines, or the Espada again, which I support. The Pilotico has a good shot and the White Vintage is pretty terrific.

Btw: I love how much they stress that it is a blind tasting. Like someone is going to pick up that unbanded FFP and not know what the hell it is.

I doubt it. It came out too late in the year. I think the cutoff is around October, so the cigar has to be reviewed before then.

Any Padron 1964
Maybe the Padron Hammer Natural even though it's LE they might allow it.
