Lol! oh no! I'm sure it was a bad batch then... Don't hate me for this, but I have no idea what year. I picked it up at a B&M in London and didn't ask (it was my first purchase of CCs).

Lately I've been on a hunt for the more nuanced textures and tastes of lighter cigars (hence the delve into CCs)... The Monte 2, seems a little stronger and fuller than the other CCs I've had... So this may be an explanation

Interesting, so those have the older band (pre '14?), but the newer box i got are awesome. Still young and a bit green but tasty as hell! Maybe you'll have to grab a different lot!

Quintessence is a tasty addition to the San Cristobal line. Revelation is still my favorite, but the Habano wrapper and construction here are both excellent.
