My biggest fear after I die is my wife selling my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

One day I sat down and calculated the value of all the cigars I owned. Then I was curious as to whether I had more in cigars, or scotch. Needless to say I deleted that spreadsheet.

When I had my house fire the lady doing the claim saw my cigars in the basement and her husband smoked. She wrote off the cigars to smoke damage and didn't make me destroy them. She used it to pay my deductible.

She told me long ago that as long as I'm not spending the mortgage, or car payments on smokes, she's ok with it, within reason.

Speaking of accounts, my wife worked at our credit union we banked at for 7 years. Talk about not being able to get away with buying anything! Had to get cash out for Christmas presents just so she wouldn't know where I was buying from. Lol
