Hello. My name is Nick and I live in New Orleans. I work in retail management and have been with my company for 11 years. I will be getting married this year in October and we will be taking two weeks to go to Australia for our honeymoon. My fiancé was the person who got me into smoking cigars. She had quit the habit some years ago but I had said I was curious to try. We went to Mayan Imports on Magazine and I made my first steps into the cigar world. I picked out my own stick, an Ashton VSG sorcerer, and found out how relaxing it was to just sit and have nowhere to be and enjoy a cigar. Starting with the AVSG has given me a taste for full bodied cigars and I have no regrets.

Anyway, if you read all that then you have a pretty good idea of where I'm coming from. Thanks!

Yeah, I smoked a Churchill size cigar the other night for the first time and it took me over two and a half hours to finish it off. I swear, it didn't even seem like an hour went by.
2.5 hours? Smokin' too fast there, rookie! ;)

I kid... I kid...

Hey Nick, welcome to the brotherhood. Glad you found us, and congrats on that upcoming marriage.

Great Intro.....and btw...I love NOLA! 2 weeks in Australia.....I'm jealous and having a wife that will share this hobby of ours...I'm twice jealous! When you get settled back home I'll be going to NOLA like we do every year to enjoy the town and they have as you know...some really good Cigar Stores....along with Cafe du Monde and beignets and a certain place up the street for Muffalettas @ Central Grocers....my mouth waters just at the thought.

I'm always willing to take good advice from great people. I don't know what OZ means though. I've been going to places like Don Juans in Metairie or Good Habit on Severn.

If you're not afraid of a car ride you should check out Mo's Pizza on the Westbank or Rocky & Carlo's out in Chalmette.

I know you're just messing with me Sean, but I didn't think I was smoking it particularly slow, it never went out on me. About how long does it take to smoke a Churchill? I guess there's probably no single correct answer, but just wondering. I know one thing, I really enjoyed that cigar!
