I was promoted about a week and a half ago to manager @ reebok. The crew I was given is very loose...loose to the point of barely calling what they do as work.
Last night I had to write a guy up for sleeping at my desk. He decided to take a nap while I was at lunch, but I guess he didn't count on me coming back 10 minutes early.
Being a cool guy, I wanted to cut him some slack. If he went back to work, I would throw out the write up. I gave him almost three hours to prove something. Here's what he did in almost three hours time.
Went to cafeteria for 1 1/2 hours.
Went to a different department to "holler at the honeys" for 1/2 hour.
Took an extended 15 minute break ( I clocked his break at 40 mins.)
Came back from break and used a cart as a chaise lounge for 15 mins.
Spent 15 minutes explaining that he couldn't take the hit for sleeping and for me to give him a chance to make it up.
So this guy gets really pissed of at me that I went ahead and wrote him up for sleeping and calls me all sorts of shit including "Cracker".:bouncetau
So can I turn this in to Readers Digest's column "All in a Day's Work"?
