I had to smoke a Martes 13 to test out how it fits in the Asylum Corojo puro hierarchy. It is definitely the top dog, as it should be.

Well aged tobacco with smooth wood, vanilla bean sweetness, vegetal, and black pepper are all present. The black pepper isn't the blistering bite style, but more like fine ground pepper that had been seared to spice a good piece of meat.

I have been far more impressed with the consistency in Montecristos than with the Cohibas I have bought, in spite of Cohiba being Cuba's flagship company and most expensive.
