@Rdelia

Which vitola is that?

Looking at them at the vendor I'll be using for my next nc order and would like to get the same vitola that you are recommending.

Always on the hunt for new smokes to try, and a large part of my decision process is what gets posted and reccomended on threads like this on the several forums I belong to.

I trust the word of forum members higher than online reviewers and Cigar Aficionado ratings, but I do use those as a small part of my decision making process.

Not sure of the exact name. I purchased from B&M. It is whatever they call the toro.

Excellent taste

Burn was off a bit in the first third, but a couple corrections fixed that

Draw was perfect

Construction was good. Only issue was the wrapper cracked in a couple spots in the middle. Has been in my 65% tupperdor for several months, so it certainly wasn't too dry or over humidified. Not a bug deal at all though.

Overall, a great Cigar. Will definitely pick up more in the future

I'm considering joining a cotm, but there are just so many to choose from and I'm a little leary of not getting consistently good smokes.

Which cotm do you belong to, and what do you think of what they typically send?

I am with Smoke Inn. I'm in month...3? And so far so good. The thing about it so far is that with the exception of a couple sticks...all of the others are ones I had never tried or heard of. I've enjoyed almost all of them. My purpose in joining a COTM though was to force myself to try new sticks, so I can't really speak to if the ones being sent are premium or whatever.

Noob review: 8/10 foundation tabernacle corona earthy first third, full flavor and amazing smoke production. Sweetness, gently spicy. Second third introduces a vanilla cold brew note. Rich, oily creamy smoke. dark earthy vanilla continues. Arrived at a knot, which extinguished the stick before it promptly ashed in a clean flat line. Tight draw after relight opens up with a couple puffs. Very pleasing vitola. The smoke thickens into the final third and the oil slick grows in intensity. This is becoming one of the more complex cigars I have smoked, with flavors and shifts frequently pulling me away from my book for closer consideration. Final third earthy, darker still. Medium strength, full body, long rich finish. Pleasant and spicy room note.
