Simple:
Take a teeny shred of this or that and light it up. Snurff the smolder of it. Smell good? Then do the next. Think "Will this smell good with that?" If so, then put shreds of both together and smolder them together. If this would be OK, then taste your wrappers. Good enough? Torque one up & try it.
Recipes for the perfect omelette are way down the road. Right now you're simply scrambling what you find in the fridge.
I woulda sent more variety but I ran out of room in the box. If you get into rolling, we can work on that aspect.
Might think about a humidifier for the room where you're rolling, considering your neck of the woods... at least until you get quick at it. Just take out enough leaves for one stick and try to move briskly.

Thanks Webmost. Love the omelette analogy. And you sent me plenty. So no worries there at all. Just gratitude. I was actually wondering about a small humidifier. Id be working inside but the air will still be bone dry. I think we have a small one around the house somewhere.

Very good first attempt.
It looks like you may not be using a mold or paper wrap. If you are using a mold then try to get your stick large enough that the mold squeeses it a bit. But you probably are not using a mold so I suggest wrapping it tighter with paper strips. Cut long strips about 3/4" wide. Sprial the paper around the binder as tight as you can. Use a piece of tape to hold the paper tight when you finished wrapping and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, longer is good. That shoud give you a smooth, straight stick for your wrapper.

Yeah I didn’t use any kind of mold. I think the paper strip method would definitely help with that. The binder itself feels more loose than it should be so that will probably help with that issue is well. Thanks for the advice. Will try it out next time.
I think the hardest part was trying to put the cap on. But more practice in every area is needed for sure
Went murdersickle camping at Lake Conesus in New York (about 325 miles away) this weekend. A brother murdersicklist there gave me a Trinidad from Cuba. Creamy, light, smooth. Look at it right here:
Appears to have a flag, but no cap. May have had a pigtail that broke off. No cap. My point is, a very presentable and probably over priced gar rolled by a pro Cuban with no cap. So don't sweat the cap at this point. Just tighten up.
Here's how you tighten up:
Use a stretchy binder leaf. Dampen it. Stretch it. Roll on that. That binder will shrink down & tighten the roll, even without a mold or paper wrap.
How do you stretch it?
Use a third hand. A paperweight makes a good third hand. You set it on the binder leaf & pull back against the weight as you roll. That loads tension into the flexible binder so that it will tighten down on your gar. Pretty sure that's somewhere in my beginner's vid.

If you tear the leaf, you pulled too hard.

That's the Trinidad "thing." All seven of their currently available vitolas use the pigtail cap, which in your case has broken off. I'm pretty sure Trinidad is the only Cuban brand that employs this gimmick. My guess is that Cohiba is in second place: they use it on about seven of their ~28 vitolas.
Don't worry about the cap. Try a pigtail. They are super easy. Just twist. I put a bit of glue on the part that will be twisted so it stays tight. After the pigtail has dried for an hour you can cut it as short as you want.

Watching the 24 hours of le mans. Figure thats a perfect time to make a second attempt at rolling. Tried following the advice given here. I think they look a bit better. Curious on your thoughts. Also i suck at taking photos. Gna take a break from sitting on the floor and roll a couple more in a bit
