I am no longer a CC virgin. Jeeper and I smoked our first CC yesterday and then again tonight after my monte #4's showed up in the mail...I gotta say that I am in love :awholelot

The date on the #4's is June 2006, and despite being out of the humidor while being shipped, they didn't seem very dry so I decided to fire one up. To my surprise, they smoked very very well. The shipper (a site sponsor), shipped them with a humidity pack which I think helped tremendously.

Any advice on what to try next? I think I will order a sampler pack next, but want to know what you guys like. On top of all this, I filled my 150 count humidor (even though there aren't even close to 150 cigars in it). So while looking at new humidors, my wife suggested I look into a nice 2000+ count humidor. :stretchgr

As an FYI, Tinder Box is doing a Fonseca Cubano Limitado in-store event on May 15th (4-8pm). They are also in the final stages of putting together a Davidoff cigar dinner- Date TBD.

My suggestions:

- Ramon Allones Specially Selected
- Partagas Serie D No.4
- Bolivar Royal Coronas

Those are all great cigars that smoke well fresh-n-young (and even better aged). They're all robustos, so they've got a large ring guage--something you're probably still partial to as that's what you'll find in b&ms today--and they're all relatively affordable as well.

You can't go wrong with any of those. Shoot, I'd suggest you buy all three. :pokemyeye:

Habanos are good.
man has a way with words, :headroll:

a good way to go is a sampler, try a corona gordas or corona sampler, that way you can try i few things, get an idea what that marca/brand is about, then you can base your future buys from that.. i went this route when starting out, and i think a few other brothers have.
