I was on the phone with a gal in Beverly Hills when it hit there. Never heard "I've gotta get off the phone, we're having an earthquake" before. Hope all is well, she called me back and called 5.8 a "little" earthquake. You all are nutz, I'll take a hurricane any day, I know it's coming for a week.

Yeah I was on the 19th floor of a 20 story building about 35 miles from the epicenter and about crapped myself. We ran down the stairs and across the street to the nearest bar for a scotch.

Hahahaha. Here's the deal....

I grew up in California, Earthquakes are no sweat.
Then I moved to Ohio for a while and later Northern Virginia. Blizzards are a minor inconvenience.
Now I live in Texas. Tornado touched down about 20 miles from my house like the third week I was here. I could hear the wind against the house making a weird swirling type noise as it repeatedly changed direction. Meh, whatever....

Seems like no matter where you live, mother nature has a nasty surprise she can spring up on ya when she wants. You learn to deal with it when it comes up.

Fear not the unknown, for when you venture there you will find your true self.

5.8 centered down in the Chino Hills near Diamond Bar. Evan. You OK?

I love these rollers. Just when you think you have some measure of control, the earth moves. Woohoo.
