I'm a man and I will admit I have a Pearl. The Curve was a little to big for me to throw in my pocket. I love, I don't go any where with it. Email, web browsing and the phone part. The Blackberry messenger has come in very handy with people I know. I might update to the Storm when that comes out. Touch screen Blackberry sounds good.

I suggest you get Opera Mini browser for it tho. Also body armor it. I got mine from ghost-armor.com stuff is awsome! crackberry.com is is an great resource site.

Its better then the standard VZ browser. It will allow you to see flash images as stationary images, unlike the standard browser they won't even show up. Its also smoother, you can zoom in and out and its more reliable. Has more features for image quality. I have mine on the lower side, but my buddies on the Curve have it set for best image quality since they have larger screen. For example, I cannot get nascar.com to load in the VZ so I check it out in Opera. Also I watch the traffic cams on the way in to work to see which way to go, they load much faster in Opera.

Weatherbug is also a great application too!

There is so much you can do with it. I have several themes for mine. I modded mine out. Since VZ has not released OS 4.5 for it yet I went and DL another carrier and installed it.

Opera and weatherbug are both free. They are part of my top 3 must haves freebies.

Opera Mini
weatherbug
Viigo - RSS Feeder (even have an RSS feed for BOTL)

OTA = Over the air. You will see that mentioned when talking about DL stuff.

Another hint is when you need to DL the link n your Crackberry I past it in an email and send it to myself instead typing it in the browser.

I have had BlackBerry with my last two companies I have worked with. My thought is BB with diffrent Cell providers. We had BB w/Cingular and my emails were good but call SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to Verizon and the problems went away.

My new company we had the BlackJack w/Cingualr and they SUCKED!!!!!!!

We now have BB w//T Mobile and it is OK. I think some Cellproviders and BB do not work good. I know of tons of folkswho have Cingular Cellphone and they love there coverage with BB it SUCKED. my .02

Yes use opera mini instead of regular. Do NOT delete standard browser because it is your default and you cannot change that. You really cannot F-up the unless you install a program that was not meant to be. But most of the time it won't let you install if the OS isn't right. Add software to the phone is like add it to your home computer. I was nervous at first, but with a lot of reading at crackberry.com this phone became very fun.

Oh yeah #4 on must have BB programs in Facebook

Viigo is its own program. I'm not sure how to describe RSS feeds. They are text feeds from sites. Like I have BOTL, CNN, MSNBC, NASCAR etc. When they update their headlines it shows up.
