OK, this may be rude, but i gotta ask. I'm way too curious. And maybe i just missed it in the intro threads.

So you two are downin Mexico. Right? Mexico City to be exact?

You both post U.S. zip codes in your bios.

I've read somewhere that youre students. I ahve to assume that's college students. Yes? So how'd you get down there for schooling? And that question assumes you're from the U.S.

Is your family in Mexico too?

And Moro types in this profoundly intriguing Australian accent, if that can be done. Are you Australian, from the U.S. living in mexico? Quite the combination fi that's the case.

Lastly, i believe you're a couple, which i believe would make you the only active couple on the board. COngrats on that...but that's not the point. Do you live together? if so, what would be really crazy if if you're posting at the same time from the same house, or casa.

I guess the bottom line is that i'm intrigued by the two of you. I need toknow more.

No worries, Gale; actually it's perfectly normal. A'right, here it goes:

Yeah, we're a couple since 7 months ago (today); yet we do not live together (but, who knows?).

Me family is mexican as can be, apart from me grandma (mom's side), who's Cuban. Megan's family is Mexican on her dad's side and American on her mom's side (Italian-American).

We both live in Mexico City, yet the U.S. zip codes are the ones we usually use over there. Meg's from her grandma's house in NY and I wrote me aunt's one in Miami (since, asides from vacationing, those are the places we frequent for obvious reasons). This clears up our studying as well.

Now, accent-wise...We'll it's not the first time I got this question; and I'll say this: I've got no bloody idea how I ended up like this. I grew up with an American accent for me childhood, which later evolved thanks to a Brit teacher I had. After that, movies from everywhere, loads of books and listening to various bloke's accents (I'm often seated in between of strangers on plane flights and the sort and always end up in conversations; some good, some...not that much). I think I basically got a tad here and a tad there from what I liked.

Hope everything's clear now, Gale! (And all who were wondering)

So we've officially got brothers from Canada, Turkey (or at least we used to), Pakistan, Japan and now Mexico, oh, and also a really cute sister from Mexico. yeah, I said it. I know you other brothers are thinkin it. Hold on to her Moro; from a plutonic standpoint, she's a keeper.

Forgot to add: here in Mexico ye finish high school 'till 19 (18 beeing legal); so do not proceed to ban her!

Oh, Moro, one more thing, did i see somewhere that you'er in culinary arts schooling?

I know what they teach here in the U.S. but what are they teaching you in Mexico? Do you learn French cuisine, Asian, regional cuisine or is it strictly mexican cuisine. And if your learning about american cuisine, i'd be curious to know what that is like. That is, i'd be curious to see what the rest of the world views as "American cuisine".

But to that point, i guess i'll say that unless you're making a tradiational frnech cuisine, or a traditional japanese cuisine, much of the world has blended it's food. Here in the U.S. people are cookoing with things like asian flare on a traditionally american dish, or an french twist on an american dish. I guess maybe here in the US we're melding and meshing everything. Aw hell, i don't know what the hell i'm trying to say, so forget it!!!

So you're gonna be a chef?

Well, sooner or latter one of you guys wanted to know what was up with us, we actually had talked about it before, and we assumed that someone would ask discreetly but... when i logged in (Moro told me to check our thread... ?) so the first thing i saw was "oh-oh" didn't expect it that way... but in a way, i think it's good that someone asked that way because i know you weren't the only one, bballbaby. So, i'm glad everythind is sorted out...

Moro may not answer you guys right now because his working, he'll be back 8.30/9.00 at the most. :yes:
