Taboo Cigars (www.taboocigars.com) is having a great sale!! i got a box of oliva series v lancero for a great price earlier in the month!! and that was w/o the special.

anyway, enter this code when checking out for 25% off of anything! even sell items!

25EM25OCT

i'm getting a box of LFD el jocko's for, like, $68!!

sale ends 10/25/08

Thanks for this post! I just bought their last 4 "V" lancero sticks. Worth noting--you have to have at least $40 worth in your cart for the coupon to apply. I tossed in some Short Stories (which I have also never had) as well.

Woohoo!

Now if my frickin' sinus infection would just clear up so that I can enjoy these guys:)

ok Brothers... i found an add in Forbes magazine that is a total scoop. I bought it and have the humi and the smokes were quality smokes, 5 vegas gold, carlos torano, gurkha, fonseca, indian tabac, perdomo champaign...all for $15.00+ 5.00 s&h= 20.00

here is the internet address, they allow 1 per customer. WWW.CigarsIntl.com/SA8238

the deal is valid through novenber 15th. heck for the 15.00 it's a deal for the smokes alone and you can gift the humi if you want to...

I know i'm a noob here, but rest assured i'm not involved in any way with this deal, just wanted to pass on this great deal to other BOTL's

Thanks, thats a good deal for sure.

Just a side note, there is a specific thread made for just such an item called here where everyone posts specials/discounts/etc, but again I thank you... that makes a great gift.

I did this deal too! It's a great bargain. I just added it on a day that I wanted to get the Joe's Daily Deal and got free shipping :)

C.I.'s new deal Make me an offer!(Like we need another)

http://www.cigarsinternational.com/make-me-an-offer/mmao.asp?ci=1

What I was thinking is why not post what offers would "work"(sold) or trigger a "Cold"(Denied) some where on a sticky or this thread.
Example:
I just put in several offers tonight:
Gurka Symphony 26.00 for a 10 pack it is being reviewed (possible sale)
@24.00 dollars it was to cold (denied a purchase)
you only get 3 offers for a listing why not make them count, and this way no one over pays!
the other listings were
5 Vegas Miami 12er for 33.00(1st offer) being reviewed
maybe someone can offer lower!
DPG Cuban Classics box of 20 50.00
1st offer 50.00 Cold(denied)
last one:
Rp Old World Reserve 50 box for 130.00, 150.00, 190.00
all 3 offers were to cold so that it no more offers available to me.(they've been on sale for 250 so i wouldnt offer 2 much more)
What do you guys think!

Conditions (from CI's site)

once offers are submitted, if Accepted, this purchase is binding
only 3 offers, per item, per 24-hour period permitted....so make it count.
special shipping charges may apply for oversized or hazmat items
Make Me An Offer items ship separately from any other regular CI products you may have on order

I got an email a while back and I just kinda glanced at it because I had read that story before... It could get a little crazy!

Ugh, those 5 Vegas Miamis they have are a great size, too. I got to try one of those thanks to an amaaazing trade. :halfgrinw

I scanned over this too, I think it's a nifty idea, but damn, I agree, that could get messy!

It's a sweet idea. I've places a few offers myself, all "Cold" responses.

To be honest, you will almost always be able to get better deals on cigarbid if you are patient. But if you hate that site or need something soon (or just want a good deal and not a recockulously good deal) then I think the Make Me an Offer thing is cool.

Also, certian items (like RP Vintage Sixties) don't come up on cbid that often, so this might be the most reasonable alternative. I put in an offer for $80 on those and it was cold. I'm guessing they'd go for about $100...but I'm not going to find out because I already have an almost full box, lol.

Yea, potentially VERY messy!

Cool, just remember that they're not pricing the lowest acceptable offer to us hard-core bargain hunters. It's for people who might normally pay CI prices but would love a little extra off.

Personally, I only occasionally pay full CI price for like a 5er or something, because most items will come up on cigarbid if you're patient.

But I have more time (computer time anyway) than money, so it's worth it to me to shop around--and I also really enjoy scoring awesome deals. Honestly, getting great cigars for really cheap is almost as fun for me as smoking them. Seems weird, but it's true :)

CI is a discounter. the wall-mart of cigars.

Many boutique makers won't deal with them because of it. However this does allow you to get some great deals on cigars.
