Wifey and I are looking for a recommendation on where we should travel. We are thinking we'll go the week after Xmas...something like Dec 26th through January 2nd. We are also thinking warm (would like to golf and enjoy my cigars outside damn it!)...possibly tropical, but doesn't have to be.

Does anyone have a place they've been to that they'd recommend?

thanks!

Carribean but it might be a tad expensive duriing that period. If you can wait one more week it gets quite a bit cheaper,,,on a cruise vacation that is.

Florida has lots of good options and tons of Golf Courses. I'm not as big a fan of the islands as they are often way over priced for what you get and they can be kind of run down and overly touristy. What ever you do shop around, there are some great deals out there right now.

Jamaica baby! West side, Negril. 7 mile beach. Most beautiful sunsets in the world!

We got to a place called Couples Swept Away. All inclusive, and not the cheap kind of all inclusive either. Top shelf liquor, and the food is first rate. Trust me on that. I'm very picky about food, as i can fix most things i get at a restaurant just as well, if not better. I love the food as CSA!

Beautiful beachfront rooms, super friendly people, its a great place. PM me if you wanna know more.

My wife and have been going to Mexico for years, inexpensive, great beaches, food and people. Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta to name a few.

Maui! The wife and I just got back and it was incredible. So many killer looking golf courses I couldn't believe it. I was wishing the wife liked to play but she doesn't and she would have killed me if I had left her for a few hours to go play. One day I'll go back and my clubs will be going with me.

Cabo is great that time of year. I have played the Palmilla, Cabo Del Sol and Cabo Real, they are beautiful courses, but pinche pricey. Great fishing too...:smokingbo

Savannah Ga. is a great town in the south...Great restaurants like "The Lady and Sons" which is Paula Deans place and the "Pirate's House" among others..You can enjoy your smokes on the beach as well as in some of the bars...not to expensive either...just an idea

Savannah is a pretty neat place, you can take a tour to see some of the places that "Forest Gump" and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" were filmed.

I like it thanks for the ideas...keep the suggestions comin', and feel free to suggest resorts/hotels where you've stayed. Btw, Gale, great minds think alike...the wife and I spent half our honeymoon at Swept Away four years ago!

Too funny. Swept Away. Been twice in the last 2 years. Loved the place, but looking to try the other side of the island at Couples San Souci...appears to be a little more private and romantic

Hopefully we can make it back this year.
