My wife had a 12 oz filet in vegas with her work boss(owner) and associates. She didn't know what she was eating, just steak. Her bill alone for steak and iced tea(doesn't drink) was 225.00. The owner didn't even flinch because when he goes to vegas its like a million dollar kid in a candy store.

And he ownes a risk management firm that works with INS companies imagine that.

Costco usually has some of the best beef selections in my area. Nice thick cuts with good marbling. I also like their vacuum packed chicken and slabs of wild salmon. I'll pass on the Kobe though ...

I've heard great things about Kobe, but I couldn't imagine paying that much for a steak. I can get by just fine on a quality cut from Ruth's Chris for about 50 bucks cooked, and even that is a rare meal for me.

I'm sure theres places where you can get that abit cheaper, Japanese Waygu is expensive but American Kobe is the alternative and more cost effective. At the Restaurant I work at we serve Kobe and quite reasonably.
