What Do You Drink When You Smoke?

For a while now I've been trying to find the perfect drink to compliment my cigars. I don't drink alcohol so that's out. I usually like a nice cup of coffee, usually back. I heard from a Permgrin that root beer was where it was at so I tried that with my New Year sticks. Of course it was in a glass bottle. It tastes better that way. Any other ideas? What do you like to drink when you light up a nice smoke?

My favorites are Jones Cream Soda, Stewarts Key Lime, IBC Root Beer, Cherry Coke, Dr. Pepper, Coffee, Water.

In the summer I'll have some organic brand lemonade or ice tea, but they tend to 'gum-up' the mouth & don't pair well with some cigars.

I usually don't have anything, or just plain water; but I've had coffee, tea, cognac, rum, scotch, bourbon, beer, wine, and port, all with great results (depending on the cigar).

Stewarts Root Beer was great with a tatuaje cojonu 2006. But then again so was a nice mug of coffee.

I don't like to drink anything when I smoke a cigar, I tend to concentrate on the cigar itself. I usually wait until I have time to fully relax and immerse myself in a cigar, rather than smoke while I do other things. Maybe one day I'll get a little more into wine, like I'd like to do...maybe then I'll try to pair wine with cigars. For right now, I really enjoy a cigar by itself. I guess I'm in the minority on that one.

I drink coffee, tea, Dr. Pepper, Coke or Root Beer 75% of the time. Mojitos alot in the summer. I find Partagas, Boli, VR, RA pair well with coffee, tea or soda. QdO, LGC, RA really like tea or Mojitos. San Cristobal's seem to love coffee. I don't drink Scoth or Bourbon but Rum pairs well with most cigars.

I have found Diet Dr. Pepper to be a very nice beverage when smoking. I heard this from a fellow friend of Bills and then many others.

I don't drink it as much as I would like with a cigar but I certainly enjoy it. My standby drink of choice is plain water.

I, like yourself, Ken, Chuck, WillieGStyles, etc who no longer partake in booze enjoy suguar free Monster or No Fear (When I want that caffeine/nicotine jolt), otherwise ice cold club soda.:smokingco

well i like tea my wife gets all kind from a local tea shop similar to a cigar shop for her, i drink what ever she makes usually it pair well. i like coffee and from time to time i will have a soda

I usually don't drink anything -- I can walk a dog and smoke a cigar at the same time but drinking wouldn't work out too well. When I'm sitting on the porch I usually have water -- I think anything with sweetness or mcuh flavor would screw up the taste of the cigar.

A botl of mine drinks only Dr. Pepper with cigars. Not my taste.

I've never had a soda when smoking, but it makes sense...something sweet will take care of the nicotine buzz.

I usually have black coffee or oolong tea during the day and occasionally I'll have a scotch or rum at night.
