Hello to all the BOTL members.
My name is Danilo, and i live in Miami.(I'm a young one... only 23)
I've been reading the board for the past 2 days or so, and i like the environment, so i joined up.

Well, I'm not a big cigar guy (actually I've smoked maybe 10 cigars in my life) and know very little about them... but the other day I took a special caring for them. I have in my house about 400-500 bux worth of cigars that are gonna go to waste if i don't do something (gifts from god knows who)
Fortunate with the Miami humidity and the fact that we open the doors and windows to the house, none of the cigars have gotten to bad condition, although they would end up dry if i did not take interest.
I don't know what brought up the interest...
I have friends that really enjoy cigars, and I have joined them occasionally here and there for a smoke.

Turns out that there is a lot of great authentic Cubans and others in my possession (50-60 cigars total) such as
Montecristo
Cohiba
Romeo & Julieta
Carlos Torano
Partagas
Tamboril
and more.
Most of these are pretty old (10-15 years) but none of them are really dry (some are a bit dry, but most are still nice and oily) none have mold. none appear to have any bugs (no holes in them, no cracks etc...)

So a few days ago i went into a cigar store and picked up a humidor that should fit about 50 cigars (seasoning it now) and went ahead and smoked a great Montecristo today to celebrate St. Patrick's day (i opted not to drink) and really enjoyed it. I read a lot about cigars over the past week or two, and this one burned great, nice and even for over an hour and a half (maybe im just slow). Tasted awesome, smelled great and i had a good time.

I look forward to the time i spend here on the board, and who know, maybe even meet up the locals some day for a smoke.

Welcome Aboard, I live in Ft. Lauderdale if you need some help bringing those old guys back to life I'm willing to help. Make sure you do it slowly, I've had good luck putting the cigars in a ziplock inside the humidor and only leaving the bag only a crack so they come up very slow. If they are dry and you hit them with very moist air you will split a lot of wrappers. PM me if you have questions you don't want to post up here and good luck.
