Caught in the Crossfire
So Saturday was my B’day and I smoked a Tat Almirantes on the back porch after dinner with some bourbon and some good tunes. When I was done the wife broke out with the b’day cake. Now she has been into cake decorating since last fall and has done some really nice cake designs for friends and parties. I’ll have to post some pictures. Anyway she and my 2 daughters decided to make me a “box of cigars” cake. It was her first attempt at a box of cigars and they all had a part in it so all in all I think it came out pretty nice. She says she now knows how she would do it next time to make it really look good but this was great for me. They all took turns rolling cigars, my little one (Kimmi) painted the box to make it look like wood and my 15 year (Tori) did the Tat logo on the inside lid. They followed a picture from the internet. Tori said she didn’t finish the entire logo on the lid because it was getting late but I told her she did a wonderful job. The whole thing is edible except for the cigar bands. The main part of the cake is the box under the cigars (about 3 ½” tall) and is lemon flavor with a lemon filling.
Hey Pete if you're reading this I’ll trade you some of my cigars for some of yours! (lol).
Here’s a picture of the cake.
Now a Little Contest:
The first one to guess what the cigars are made of will receive a fiver of some smokes.
This one's done. congrats Nick (smokemifugotem)
