Man I love Rocky's cigar, but goodness I can't keep up with all of the brands he makes.

I agree and because of that i will go with a another brand.

I'm telling you, Rocky's determined to go head to head with Gurkha for the most cigar lines...[/QUOTE]

I have mixed feelings about so many different cigars coming out that close together , could lose quality there if you not careful.

Rocky Patel = WalMart of Cigars

With the DOZENS of lines he has out, how can the focus be on any one? I used to enjoy the vintage lines, and they are probably still good. It is just hard to not have the perception he is in it for the quanity not quality.

I enjoy Rockys` Olde World Reserve and Sungrown cigars. I recently had an ITC 10th Anniversary cigar, and was unimpressed. I`ll keep trying his stuff, if I like it I`ll smoke it. :smokingbo:

Rocky Patel will make cigars for anyone who wants to order enough of them. They aren't actually making them and selling them as their blend. It will be the blend of the store that purchases them with the Rocky Patel name behind it.

The Vintage 92 was the cigar that got me "hooked" on cigars and I also really like the Decade, Sungrown and OWR, but also agree that there are just too many out there to keep up with.

Wow...not a lot of love for Rocky here...

But I can't help but point this out:

HOW MANY BLENDS DOES PEPIN HAVE OUT???

Someone tally them up, but I"ll bet you that there are as many if not more Pepin-blended cigars on the market right now as Rocky-blended (note Rocky-blended, not simply labels owned or made by the Rocky Patel company).

IMHO, Rocky Patel is a joke. He has so many "limited" brands, and brands made only for certain retailers, its become apparent to just about anyone who is serious about cigars.... He's ONLY in it to make more and more money. He has no passion for cigars anymore. He's just pumping more out to make more money.

I think its a good deal for retailers to get a cigar that only they have as it gets me to buy stuff from cigar retailers that I would generally not consider buying something from.

The 2009 Rocky Patel Winter Blend was right in my wheel house and a cigar I was forced to buy a box of due to the addictive tastiness of the cigar. I also like his Edge Sumatra, Edge Maduro, Decade OWR & Renaissance.

Granted Pepin makes a lot of blends but so many of them are so damn good its hard to fault him and his blending genius!
