Hey all, I've lurked around on BOTL to learn a bit about cigars and figured it was about time I jumped in with both feet! I'm from the Sacramento area, but will be returning to L.A. for school in about a month.

I haven't had a whole hell of a lot of experience with cigars, but after a few good ones on random occasions I decided to venture out a bit on my own, and I'm hooked!

Looks like the next step is picking up a humidor and starting to build my palette and find out what I really like, and of course, reading a bunch on here. Thanks already for all the useful stuff I've learned, and I can't wait to see what comes next

Thanks for all the welcomes, guys. From what I've seen, this board is a close community, and I really dig that.

I'm definitely down to get together in Sac, I'll keep my eye out for your post.

Also, total noob question, and I think I know the answer haha: I was going to ask about recommendations on different samplers from Cigars International and other online places, but the impression that I get is it'd be a lot smarter to get on the Newbie Sampler list and arrange a cash deal with someone, yes?
