Just curious how everyone in the hot regions keep their sticks cool. Living in TX it would cost an arm and a leg to run the ac at 70 during the summer months so I have been storing my humidors in a large cooler with a segregated ice pack that I change out once a day. Helps to keep the temp down around 72. Just curious how you guys keep your temp down. :cbig:

I hear you. Well my other problem is my old lady. She is from AZ and likes to keep the ac off...anything under 80 and she is cold!

Vinotemp. I had desktops for the last couple years and had to run a window unit 24/7 in the summer to keep it in the 70-72 degree range. I went through 2 window units in the last 3 years running them non-stop. I switched to the Vino at the beginning of this summer and the power dropped dramatically. Most of my friends that have central air don't have a problem in my area, but I live in an older house that has poor insulation and window units.

I was looking into a vinotemp but the website only showed one unit that had temp regulation and it did not look very big. Think it ran like 600 bucks but small. Would not be able to fit all my smokes in that. Need room for around 300 sticks.

They should all have temp regulation and can be a little pricey to get going but I figure mine will pay for itself by the end of the summer in power bill savings. I have a 28 bottle and it will easily hold 300+ sticks. Check around online for a good price.

There is a 50 count humidor in the bottom

Drawers easily hold 100+ sticks

Yes, there are 2 cedar shelves and 2 cedar drawers, they came from mtmouse(member here), but he has been MIA for some time now. There was a link to someone else who had some really nice ones too, I'll see if I can find it.
