Here are three band-less cigars twenty5 sent me. I will be reviewing each one not knowing what the cigar is other than from what my senses can tell me. After being reviewed twenty5 will tell us whats what. Feel free to try and guess what they are.
APPEARANCE PRE-LIGHT-
Dark in color mostly black some brown. Wrapper is some what delicate and the edges of the cap are peeling off slightly. Very firm to the pinch and crackly, easy to cut, good draw.
Sitting in my garage drinking ice water on a cool cloudy yet sunny comfortable.
FIRST DRAW- No smoke?!?!?!? Recut and smoke! Delicious earthy nutty smooth but weak cloud of smoke.
FIRST THIRD- Draws very little smoke but tastes good. Slowly the smoke starts to draw easier. Every time I draw I have to draw two or three times until I can get it to burn. Tastes like peanut butter toast and coffee. Very yummi.
SECOND THIRD- Opens a little bit more. Taste is the same but not as crisp the taste is blending together and I am feeling very relaxed with a slight buzz.
THIRD THIRD- Smoother taste more sweet nutty flavors. Very very relaxed.
APPEARANCE-
Smoke was thick and hearty after a few smokeless draws and the ash had a good hold on the cigar. I had half the cigar cashed until a bee was flying around be and I hear smoke paralyzes them so while I was chasing the bee the ash broke off onto the floor.
I would give this cigar a 7.5 out of 10. The draw was kind of poor tastes pretty good. I did have some hang leaf especially when it was down to the nub but I usually don't mind it and see no need to fix it unless it is more than and inch long. But never got that bad with this one. I do not think this is a tatuaje judging from the construction. I would have no idea what to guess but I will say Hoyo de Monterrey??? the taste and construction remind me of that cigar.
First draw
Got a little longer but broke before taking a pic.
Hang leaf at the nub. The nub was less than an inch when I put it out.
This is the view from my garage. It is not as dark as it looks.
This is fun to do. I have no bias on the cigar before I smoke it. I got the idea of taking the bands off all of my cigars and then replacing them with blank bands numbering them so you know what they are or how ever you want to keep track. I don't think I will do this but it is a cool idea because you will not know what to expect and will not have any assumptions.
Another thing I wanted to comment on is the nicotine effects. When I first had a cigar a few years ago I though there was no such thing as getting a buzz from a cigar. But I was wrong. It is far different from cigarettes. Cigarettes hit you fast and hard not only your health but your dopamine levels. Cigars are very slow and you hardly notice it until it takes full effect. The buzz is relaxing and not as aggressive as cigarettes. I have had cravings for nicotine from cigars and did not expect that when I first started a few months ago so I try not to smoke one a day. More like one a week at most. However, I will have these three reviewed probably before next Thursday.
APPEARANCE PRE-LIGHT-
Dark brown with veins, good construction, good draw. Cut a bit too much off but still held together the whole way through. Not as crunchy as cigar A (exlie) it has been sitting in the humi over the weekend though.
In the garage with a bottle of cold ice mountain water. Weather is cloudy hardy any sun a few rain drops but not enough to make the ground wet. Cool breeze.
FIRST DRAW- Thick after touch up of the burn or the cherry. Lit up easily.
FIRST THIRD- Tastes had hint of a lighter smoke but with a strong pepper maduro flavor.
SECOND THIRD- Even fast burn. The taste reminds me of heath candy bars.
THIRD THIRD- Pretty much the same.
APPEARANCE-
Thick smoke. Crunchy crumbly ash.
I enjoyed this one very much. I would give it an 8 maybe an 8.5 out of 10. The taste was kind of what you should expect in a cigar, not really unique flavors but this is a good smoke.
This was my favorite picture.
That is a lot of pictures. Hope they load fast, they could be smaller. I would guess that is cigar is .... HHHHMMMMMM
I want to say Tatuaje Havana but I really do not know what else to guess.
Smoked today larger size. Brown well constructed stick with a wrapped flaw I am guessing from band removal. Pre light draw is tight.
Drink-Icewater
Weather-Sunny with a cool comfortable breeze.
First draw- Tight with a nutty taste. Damned if it doesn't taste like peanuts.
Nutty medium bodied with no spice on the first third.
Second third sweet nutty light cedar like tastes.
And the last bit of it had hints of honey still not opening. But the wrapper had broken off and bulged out were the wrapper was cracked.
It would have been a great cigar had my cheeks not gotten tired from the tight draw and the cigar had not fallen apart. I think it might have been from shipping. Fix those problems and I would give this an 8.5 or 9 out of 10. I liked the taste it was something new.
Out of no where it cracks. There was some damage to the wrapper but it had nothing to do with this.
Idk wtf this one is small for some reason
Wrapper destructed
Listen to punk rock gotta have a mohawk
Not really the experience is the same. lol
chillin in the yard
That was about it for this one.
