decided that sooner was better than later, so purchased my first yesterday. i know i didn't do it the right way, as i didn't shoot it, but from all that were in my price range and had good online reviews and felt REALLY good in my hand, i got an XD-9. not big not small, but i'm very anxious to put some rounds through it!

Is it xd or the xdm. Great gun either way. I need to get my lazy butt out to the range one of these day.

Nice purchase. I shot a full size XD 45 and it felt very comfortable, pointed well and was very accurate. I'm sure you 9mm will be the same. I agree for price and quality these are very nice pistols.

never fired a xd but i love my springfield 1911A1 officers model. I've put a shit-ton of rounds through it and always fire dead on balls

Wouldn't you like to know?
So was there 6 months of paperwork involved? Have to go through for the prohibited weapons license? Agree that it will be stored dissassembled under lock and key? Agree thar under no circumstances was it alright to defend yourself with it? Ok maybe thats just Canada.

Hope you enjoy it. :ccowboy:

Exact same way here in TX, and to top that off you can take a one day class and apply for a concealed handgun liscense. I got mine just because I will usually carry in my car (which is also legal in TX) but when on the bike I did not want to leave a heater sitting in my saddle bags. Congrats on your first! Its an addiction just like gars and you will buy more trust me!
