Somewhat new to cigars, very new to the forum (don't know why I didn't join earlier). . . .

I started smoking earlier this year when a friend of mine wanted to go to a cigar lounge here in Vegas for his bachelor party. He got sick, and I fell in love. . . .

Slowly building my collection, slowly smoking it away, and loving every minute of it (or every hour of it, since I like to take my time, especially with my favorite sticks). . . . A truly personal luxury, cigar smoking. . . .

jmatkins,

My first cigar was a Romeo y Julieta (don't remember which one).

After that I got a few cigar samplers (along with a small humidor) that contained some Rocky Patels (some 90 and 92 Vintages) and some CAOs, and then I moved on to some Oliva Serie V's (the torpedos).

I think my favorites right now are any of Padron Series Maduros (I really like the 3000s and the Churchills, though), the Alec Bradley Tempus Centuria, Tatuaje Tainos, Illusione CG:4s, and the Illusione Epernay Le Elegance (I'm kind of partial to smokes with a heavily earthy, spicy, and floral profile, but I love the rich coffee and dark chocolate qualities of Padron's Maduros).

I've got a couple of the Padron 80ths, and one each of the 45th Anniversary and the 1926 No. 9 Maduro arriving next week, which I'm really excited about. The 80ths have been resting in my humidor for about four months now, and I can't wait to smoke them (maybe for a special occasion...they're so expensive).

I'm also looking forward to the release of the Nosotros lines and the Tatuaje Black Tubos.

wow sounds like you got a pretty wide variety of cigars you like... pretty impressive considering you just got started... Welcome!
Yeah, Vegas is a pretty nice place to be a smoker. There's a number of great shops here, plus Casa Fuente (if I ever feel the urge to splurge and try out one of their exclusive sticks).

Anyone ever have a Casa Fuente?

I would beg to differ about the abundance of great B&M's, but Casa Fuente is nice. The sticks are a good bit above MSRP, but the Mojitos and the girls are worth the extra cash.

Vegas sucks. Lol Hey Don :waving:

I agree Vegas has no good lounges for being Sin City. However at least they have a few. Lol

Welcome aboard.
Casa Fuente is cool place. If you ever are there ask for a Don Carlos Lancero. If they have them buy as many as you can and send them to me.
Enjoy your time here. Great group.

Last time I was there, they had 6 left. It said limit 2 per cur=stomer per day, and I said if he lets me I'll buy all 6, and I could not believe I was told no. It says the same thing for the BTL, but I always but 5 or 6 with no problem. When are you getting back down to Sin City?

Well, nice for me anyway since I started smoking. I used to live in Central New York, Ithaca to be exact, so coming here to find actual stores filled (well, as filled as they can be, before they're bought out) with my favorite brands was a welcome relief. And since my favorite place to smoke is on my patio, the overall paucity of great lounges doesn't bother me too much (if I lived in NYC, however, I'd definitely have more options!).

And, to the same brother who made the comment above, I live on the western end of the city, about 5 1/2 miles from the Strip.

Thanks for all the info about the Casa Fuentes. I've been there twice, and the Mojitos (and the girls) are nice.
