First off, I'm sorry if the pictures are crap. I took them with my phone.

I finally got some Padron Millenium Maduros. I've been on the search for these for a while now. I did a trade about a month ago for one of these. I was supposed to come back the next day, but I came down with the flu. The guy I was getting the cigar from wouldn't trade with me unless I smoked the Millenium in front of him at his store.

I ran into the guy again at the Pepin event on Saturday, and he reminded me I needed to come down to his cigar store so I could try the Millenium. The more we talked, he said he would part with 2 more Milleniums!:applause:

After work, I went to the store. As soon as I walked in, he handed me the three sticks. He wanted me to light it up immediately. Wow!
OMG! This stick was great. It had a rich chocolate taste with some coffee, cedar, and vanilla notes thrown in. The burn was perfect on this stick. I ended up nubbing this cigar for all it was worth. This cigar immediately goes into the Top 5 list. I wish I would have smoked this cigar when it came out so I could compare it with one that has 10 years of age on it. It was a wonderful way to spend 2 1/2 hours.

It has been close to 5 hours since I finished it, and I still have a smile from ear to ear.

Had my first one in 1999 at the Padron factory in Miami.... just before they were released... the staff was smoking them like fumas... all the seconds were in a big box above a packaging table and you could just grab one... think I have one left... and you are right.. it was tasty.....

I have two that Papa Padron (orlando?) gifted me on a visit to their warehouse in Miami. I just may have to smoke one of them.

Very gracious hosts, by the way. The Padrons, Jorge, Orlando, and sevral others, entertained us (12 guys stuck in Miami) with cigars (not only the Milleniums), cuban coffee, and then bought us all cuban sandwiches for lunch. They took 3 hours out of their day to talk with us and never made us feel like we were intruding. If ever in Miami, stop by the warehouse.

i'm jealous beyond belief. this has been my "holy grail" of HTF smokes and I'm still trying to get my hands on one. Any chance you saved the nub? Maybe I can puff on that. :)

Sounds like a great time Charlie. The Padrons are a class act.

Yep...This sounds like Padron through and through.

Sorry it took so long to reply back, but I just got back from the local b&m.

Well, I may be Millenium rich, but I am cash poor after the sticks I picked up yesterday. :crytears: I never thought I would spend that much on 5 cigars. People have been bombarding me with all sorts of different trades today. If it was the right kind of trade, I would trade one of them.

I will definitely have to stop by there if I am ever in Miami again. The Padrons sound very generous and gracious. That's what I love about cigars, the comradery and friendship. Cigars mean so much more when you have someone to share them with.
