This shop adds 40 cents per cigar to all purchases to cover SCHIP :sadstare:
If you buy a box it's .40 times whatever the amount in the box.:chat:
They should NOT be charging SCHIP costs! The manufacturer pays those costs, not the B&M. Most manufacturers pass the added cost on, Pete does not. Therefore if they are charging that $.40 / stick, they are lying to keep that money for themselves!

Anytime a shop adds anything to the retail cost of a stick, apart from state taxes, they are RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. This is why I don't buy more than like 5 sticks a year at my local B&M--the routinely charge 20% more than retail.

New member of the forum here. I joined recently after we received a stogie care package from a few BOTL members. (I'm currently deployed to Iraq) I'm a relatively new cigar smoker (going on about a year now), and I'm ashamed to say this is the first I've heard of the Tatuaje Monster Series. The Drac sounds downright delicious. How hard would it be for me to find a shop that might possible ship a single or perhaps a split for me to try to an APO address?

Try Famous Smoke Shop early next week for singles.

SCHIP tax.. Manufacturers pay it. This was written into the legislation, so they could get the money up front. Alot of the manufacturers have been bumping up their prices to cover the added costs. Pete and a few others have not done this and pays that tax themselves to keep the prices in check, as well as create customer loyalty. In fact, he has not raised his price on cigars in about 2 or 3 years. Costs continue to go up, which cause the prices to move up. Any store that is picking more money to pay for the SCHIP tax is pocketing that as profit.

Stick around the forum, make a few more posts and I am sure someone (ahem) would be happy to send you one...

I am not sure if anyone saw them yet, but Pete sent some cool trick or treat, canvas, soccer type bags with the shipments of the Monsters. You can see them in the gallery I put a link to. Nice little touch.

Will we be getting them with a box purchase or are they sold/given away by different means?

I just want a box of Drac and Boris ... even if they're empty and I only have a stick of each to put in them.

I had a melange-induced prescient vision of a walk-in humidor with a shelf containing all 13 coffins in the monster series!
