If anyone cares, looks like the Cain F's are being released again... this time with bands.

I got a box in the first release (the 1st or 2nd national release event actually) that DID have labels (ones that said Cain but not "F," probably just a smaller version of the other bands), but it seems that most of the later ones were bandless.

It sounds like these were popular enough that they've decided to do a full release! I think that's cool. I like the size a lot, and a powerful petite corona is a rare treat.

If you look at my Cain F review, you'll see a pic of same thing. I found a box of Cain F with bands and the ribbon. I also have boxes with the ribbon only, no bands, as well as boxes with no ribbon or bands. Not sure if it was truly a rerelease with the bands or not, but I like the look of the bands.

I like them a lot. I got a box of 5, however only 3 were smokable. The B&M from TX that sent them must not have kept them in the humidor or something, as when I got them 2 were cracked about an inch long from the foot and one the wrapper was already coming off. I was pissed, but I only paid $25 for them and it wasn't worth the hassle to even tell them about it.

Jack Schwartz had a few boxes that ended up like that, with the cracked feet. I think it is actually the shipping/packaging that was problematic. Some of the boxes have a bit of extra space, making it easy for them to slide head to foot.

I got both banded and unbanded for the same price at JS...$29.95 I believe it was. Eric didn't even know the ones were banded until I opened them to check.

I was just told by an Oliva rep that the new Cain F's will be released around March 1st in FULL boxes, not a 5er. Not sure of price though...

Justin, I know you didn't ask me, but at that price I'm willing to bet he got them at Taboo Cigars or Tex Cigars.

$25.00 for a 5'er or not I would have definately notified them that the cigars were received damaged!

Taboo. You know, it was my 1st purchase from them and I figured it may have been an isolated case as I haven't read anything bad about them. So I let it go. As I told Justin in a PM, now that this thread was brought up, I went back and looked at the other 3 and another one is starting to crack/peel as I have them in a separate bag trying to get some moisture back into them. If it was more money I would have definitely brought it to their attention, but i figured if I only lost 2 of the 5, $10 isn't worth my time to go email/call them, pack them back up and drive to the post office and wait in line, I have better things to do than that. Here is a pic of the 3 that are left.

But you are also doing them a favor by letting them know that some of the cigars they are selling are damaged. If I was them I would appreciate hearing from you.

I always wanted my customers to be satisfied, regardless of how much they spent. I wanted that "return" business, and I wanted my satisfied customers to tell their friends that I did right by them.
