Cigar fun facts (by none smokers)

A while back while having a cigar in a coffee shop, I got approachEd by a guy who works there. He approaches me gingerly and comes up with one of the classic statements/facts only a none cigar smoker is capable of regurgitating.

You know which facts I am talking about, those that make us laugh, feel aggrevated and sometimes even cringe with embarresment for the person who gave those statements. So let's list those fun facts in this thread. I'll start:

guy from coffee shop: You seem like a fellow cigar smoker. Did you know that cuban cigars are rolled on beautiful virgin girls thighs ? These girls are tied into contracts that guarantee that they stay virgins and they get checked on quarterly basis to make sure that they stay that way for the period of their contracts.

One time I was walking to class and noticed a group of guys (middle eastern, not that it really matters i guess) sitting on a bench and they asked me for a light for their cigarettes. So i pulled out my nice lambo torch and gave them all a light, and one of them asked it i was a cigar smoker, naturally i said yes. They guy then proceeded to tell me how big of a cigar smoker he was, but he only smoked ISOM cohibas and Ryjs because he had "classy taste," and just couldnt settle for NC and bought them in them in Mexico whenever he was there. He then asked me what I liked to smoke, I casualy said oh I dont know, Tats, Opus, Anejo, LFD, ISOM Partagas, J. Fuego, cheap stuff like that because I cant afford what he smokes . He then told me that not everyone can smoke the good stuff hahahaha

Yesterday I was golfing with a fellow BOTL (ViginIslander). Bill sparked up a conversation with the guy and found out he also liked cigars and had brought a stash to smoke. Well we are on the coarse and we cross paths again and he says...What are you guys smoken? I respond Romeo and Julieta Short Churchill...he looks puzzled...I said from Havana. He says..."Oh yeah...great stick! That Havana wrapper will make them spicy and good".

Wait...what!?!

I once heard on a radio news broadcast about an experiment conducted that found Exlax to cause cancer in lab rats. Of course to acheive these results the rats were dosed with 10x the dosage for a human for a period of time (can't recall that figure, this has been a number of years ago). Hell yeah they got cancer, I'm astonished the poor things' brains didn't run out their bum. My point? Anything in a big enough dose for a long enough time will give you cancer. Hell living gives you cancer. If given the choice I'll take smoking cigars over the Exlax experiment :grin:.

Haha people worry me sometimes...being a college student I get strange looks for even smoking a cigar where I'm allowed to! And those arrogant bastards of college kids always say something like this - "yeah I smoke ONLY cubans...they're the best! My daddy smuggles them in from trips...." shit like that. It's all bull and before someone starts talking about a topic they know nothing about, just shut your mouth. I should pull some Socrates and start asking them about the different parts to a cigar!

Another fun fact. Wetting your cigar before smoking it enhances its flavor. Some even claim that if you put your cigars under the tap just before smoking them, it will enhance their flavors and the overall smoking experience. :bigeyes:

This is one of the best ones I've heard yet, I have no idea how that could possibly help lol. How ever what about wetting the tip before cutting?
