Hi there!

Pls call me "Plastic". I found this site after noticing it mentioned frequently on cigarbid.com and figured the more the merrier!

About 2 months ago my gf and I rode up to New Hope, PA and I found myself out of cigarettes. Stopped into the cigar shop there and since they didn't have my brand, I walked out with a flavored cigar. I enjoyed it enough to wonder why I didn't smoke cigars more often...

I went to my local B&M and told them the same story I just told you, and asked the owner to recommend a couple cigars to try. The guy put a Partagas black label in my hand (no kidding! even punched it for me) and told me to let him know how it worked out.

Well friends, it worked out. So here I am.

2 months later I have a extra large size "savoy" humidor that is supposed to hold up to 150 cigars and there's not much room left in it. In the humi right now are roughly a box each of: Alec Bradley SCR, CAO MX2, CAO Gold Maduro, CAO Brazilia box press, AF Anejo, AF Flor Fina maduro, Alcazar #4 maduro, cigarbid.com's 90+ rated sampler, and probably the odd Ashton VSG, couple Padron 6000's, 5 Vegas Relics, and a smattering of other singles I'm trying or re-trying.

The Alcazar's come in bundles and I consider them "daily's" because they are inexpensive, pretty tasty to me and smoke pretty consistently after a couple days in the humi. I've smoked a good number of them now, and learned how to store, cut, light and smoke using these as a basis. In my mind, they establish a standard I can use in terms of a well rounded maduro flavor profile I can always return to for comparison after exploring other brands/blends/wrappers/etc. They also pretty much let me know how my humi is doing as I mentally calibrate the numbers on the hygrometer with the experience I'm have while smoking it. (are they burning correctly, taste right? etc)

So there's my intro, hope to meet some nice people here and share info and experiences, etc.

Thanks, take care!
