This is a follow-up to this thread: [ame="http://www.botl.org/community/forums/showthread.php?t=41435"]I got some Ron Zacapa XO! - BOTL Cigar Forums - Brothers of the Leaf[/ame] Looks like several BOTL were interested in getting a bottle. If there's still enough interest I can organize this.
Long story short, the XO usually retails for around $100.00 but there is an online shop that sells it for $49.99. The kicker with this is that shipping is pricey, around $13.00 if you just get one bottle. BUT - we did a split here and bought 8 bottles and shipping was only $3.50 each. If you're in a location that can't get this shipped directly this might not be a bad option but if you can get it shipped directly to you then, of course, that would be cheaper. If you can get a group of locals and get even 3 bottles it really cuts the shipping.
QUICK REVIEW: If you've had the Zacapa 23 this is made with the best selections of the 23. The flavor profile is very similar however the flavors are more defined and the overall rum is smoother. Lots of vanilla and spices in this one and a very easy sipper.
I will be out of town for IPCPR so we're probably looking at 08/16 for me to place the order. I can take payments via PooPill as a gift and you have to pay before you get locked in on the list. If you order one bottle the price will be about $65.00 total, but we'll get a firm price for everyone before placing the order.
